AUSTIN, Texas — Larry Strong, veteran president/CEO of the $425 million Velocity Credit Union here, has given up his title as president, with previous Chief Operating Officer Debbie Mitchell assuming that job.
Mitchell becomes the first female to hold the presidency at the 60-year-old Austin CU.
The CU emphasized that Strong, 60, will continue as CEO, noting the management change follows Strong's heart surgery last January.
