OGDEN, Utah. — A member of the $501 million Cyprus Federal Credit Union, headquartered in West Jordan, Utah, has been charged in the robbery of a branch of the $580 million Goldenwest Credit Federal Credit Union.

Shelly Clarke, president/CEO of Goldenwest, largely confirmed a media account of the incident in which the Cyprus member, identified by police as Elrachio Naguan Craig, allegedly approached a teller with a note demanding she hand over the money in the drawer and stated he didn't want any “funny money or you will die,” federal authorities said.

The teller handed over $1,176 from the drawer and Craig fled the credit union, according to the media report.
