WASHINGTON — NAFCU President Fred Becker recently tipped off consumers to “America's best kept secret”–credit unions.
During a recent radio tour Becker told listeners in radio interviews with stations in markets across the country that credit unions are “America's best kept secret” and encouraged consumers to seek out and join a credit union.
During the interviews, Becker cited both NAFCU's and NCUA's Web site as resources for those considering credit union membership. He also suggested that listeners reach out to their family members, employers and community members to determine if they are credit union members.
The tour is just another part of NAFCU's ongoing outreach efforts to promote greater awareness of credit unions as well as the value of membership.
