BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom Educational Credit Union is helping the YMCA renovate its ballroom, originally constructed in 1915.

The credit union has recently donated $10,000 which will go toward the remodeling of the facility's kitchen and building an addition of a new media center.

According to YMCA executives the move will help bring in additional income from community events to help support its transitional housing program for women in crisis.
