VACAVILLE, Calif. — The City of Fairfield Community Services Department has singled out Travis Credit Union as a local hero for its sponsorship of the "Senior Citizen" van.
As part of the honor Travis CU received a plaque from the City of Fairfield along with a Certificate of Special Recognition from Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher.
"Travis Credit Union is proud to support of the Fairfield Community Services Department," said Patsy Van Ouwerkerk, president and CEO of Travis Credit Union. "Our contribution helps the city continue to have a positive impact on the quality of life for our seniors."

The credit union's sponsorship provided for a complete refurbishment and painting of the van's exterior, which included a "wrap" to display advertisements for the "Frail Elderly" Program for senior citizens. The van is used by the Community Services Department to transport senior citizens to and from Senior Center events. Mayor Price thanked the credit union for its overwhelming support and outstanding amount of contributions it gives to the community.
