CRESCENT CITY, Calif. — Chetco Federal Credit Union staffers brought along popular Kid's Savings Club mascot Dollar Dog for a visit to the Bess Maxwell Elementary School playground to help celebrate, Red Ribbon Week.
Kids and adults alike were able to greet Dollar Dog and receive information about saving their money as well as the day's focus on the dangers of drug and alcohol use and abuse.
Red Ribbon Week is a nationwide annual event geared towards building awareness and supporting the decision to live a drug and alcohol free life.

According to CFCU Assistant Vice President of Marketing Judy May-Lopez, the even is just one of many special events that sends a positive message to youth that the credit union participates in as part of its dedication to the financial health and well being of all its members.
