PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Federal Credit Union staffers spent the month of November volunteering their time to help sort food donations for hungry area residents.

PFCU allowed employees to volunteer during normal work hours at Philabundance, a nonprofit organization working to end hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley. Each week, employees left their computers to support the organization's efforts this busy holiday season.

"I am proud of our employees for volunteering," PFCU President/CEO James McAneney said. "It is an extension of the credit union philosophy of 'People Helping People'. Many hungry children and families need this organization to survive. It is important for us to do what we can for this local organization by participating in this worthy cause."
