WYOMISSING, Pa. — Discovery Federal Credit Union has recently partnered with the Wilson School District Board of Directors to open a student-run branch at Wilson High School.
The branch will be located across from the school's cafeteria and is slated to open at the beginning of the 208-2009 school year.
The Wilson School District serves over 5,700 students from several communities in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

"The purpose of the partnership is to increase students' understanding of personal finance and to prepare students to be financially responsible adults," said Discovery FCU President/CEO Edwin Williams.
The credit union is also sponsoring the high school's gymnasium for the next three years. The gym will now be known as the Discovery Federal Credit Union Gym at Wilson High School. The move is designed to help the credit union build its on-site presence during athletic events and other special events to promote financial education. In addition, Discovery FCU staffers will be presenting financial learning seminars throughout each school year on a variety of financial topics.
We are extremely excited about this opportunity and the potential the sponsorship has to positively impact the saving and spending habits of teens and to nurture the young people in our community into financially productive adults," said Williams.
