GRAND BLANC, Mich. — Financial Plus Federal Credit Union recently kicked off its commercial lending program with a commercial mortgage to finance the expansion of a local small business.

Rafek and Jean David, proprietors of Warwick Party Shop, are expanding their business and adding four retail rental units to their property in Grand Blanc, Mich. The Davids, who have been Grand Blanc residents and owners of the store for more than 20 years, said they have received numerous inquiries from prospective tenants.

Walt Widder, commercial business manager for $290 million FPFCU, worked with Michigan Business Connection, the Michigan commercial lending CUSO, to arrange the financing. MBC underwrote and syndicated the credit and will service the loan through construction and beyond.
