LAS VEGAS — As they have done now for six years, Texas bankers and credit union executives will be rubbing shoulders and coursing the aisles for the annual TechMecca Conference Nov. 28-29 sponsored by the Texas Credit Union League and the Independent Bankers Association of Texas but there are two new wrinkles this year.

This is the first time the conference devoted to the latest software and hardware is being held in Las Vegas and second, SWACHA, the automated payments network is helping co-sponsor.

Officials of both the league and the IBAT stress there has never been a problem with the two competing industries getting along because they share much in common dealing with identical vendors.
