MADISON, Wis. — The Credit Union Executives Society announced that 37 credit union board members recently attended DLI?,,? II, held at the IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona, Spain. This was the first year of the program, which is the second generation of the successful Directors Leadership Institute, held in recent years at the London Business School, and attended by more than 400 industry leaders.

"DLI?,,? II started with the exceptional curriculum from the original Directors Leadership Institute and takes it a step further, offering additional opportunity for professional growth. The IESE Business School is an exceptional institution, and we're pleased to offer credit union board members the chance to learn from their top-rate faculty, and experience this international learning opportunity," said Carol A. Humenick, CCE, chairman, CUES' Board of Directors and SVP/Community/Government Affairs at Citadel Federal Credit Union, Thorndale, Pa.

At DLI?,,? II, participants are immersed in governance-specific education, exploring ways to develop competitive strategy, to measure whether operations dovetail with strategy, and enhance leadership skills. Attendees are eligible to earn the prestigious Certified Credit Union Director (CCD) designation; those who already earned the designation at the London-based program find DLI?,,? II offers an opportunity to refresh their knowledge, according to CUES.
