at the Manchester Hyatt in San Diego.

Alan Brunner, COO for eCU Technologies, told the group that 30 credit unions now use the product and are reporting very few problems with fraud. The service allows members to post deposits online and then mail the check in or come

by the credit union and

physically deposit it.

A new version, UPost 3.0, is upcoming, Brunner says, and future features could include the ability to scan.

"Credit union members are going to deposit their funds somehow. They might as well use UPost, because it saves the credit union money compared to other traditional deposit methods," Brunner says.

eCU Technologies is a CUSO of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union that also offers home

banking, online lending, member history conversion and other services.
