SANTA ROSA, Calif. — Redwood Credit Union took first place in the 7.0 division of the 9th Annual Steve Wurzell Memorial Corporate Tennis Challenge, benefiting the Sonoma County Special Olympics.
The tournament was held at the Wikiup Racquet and Swim Club in Santa Rosa, and featured tennis players of all levels, sponsored by local companies. Representing RCU were President/CEO Brett Martinez and RCU Member Terry Price.
RCU has been a high-level sponsor of the Steve Wurzell Memorial Tennis Challenge for the past six years, and actively participates in efforts to increase the contributions from other local communities and individuals. In its nine years, the tournament has collectively raised over $250,000 for Sonoma County Special Olympics. Funds raised by the tournament each year fund the following year's athletic program, including uniforms, equipment and competition expenses.

Redwood Credit Union actively supports and participates in a variety of community programs throughout the year, including the Sonoma and Marin County Human Races, the American Red Cross, the Sonoma County Volunteer Center, Salvation Army, and the United Way.
