TOMS RIVER. N.J. — The Ocean County prosecutor's office in NewJersey confirmed yesterday that a drowning victim discovered by apasserby Monday night in Manasquan Inlet is Frank D'Alessandro, aFort Myers real estate broker and defendant in a series of suitsinvolving Norlarco Credit Union of Fort Collins, Colo. under NCUAconservatorship.
A spokesman for the prosecutor said D'Alessandro, 52, drowned asa result of an apparent boating accident. D'Alessandro had beenmissing since last Wednesday after his kayak was found overturnedoff a Mantoloking beach.
The D'Alessandro death made headlines this week in theColoradoan, a Fort Collins paper that has been chronicling thecollapse of Norlarco and its lending links to failed real estatedeals.
