WASHINGTON, DC — Three employees of a payday lender operating in Washington DC renounced the participation in the payday loan industry and apologized to the community during a dramatic August 12 press conference, according to press reports.
The three, Cameron Blakely, Michael Donovan and Bill Harrod all worked for Check 'n Go in the Washington DC area at different levels. Donovan was a district manager for the organization and Blakely and Harrod were store managers.
An internet search on the firm's name in Washington revealed eight stores in the Nation's Capitol, although the firms website only showed three stores.
