CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Driven by the falling cost of interactive voice response and open-standards speech platforms and the rising cost of maintaining older proprietary touch-tone platforms, contact center decision-makers across North America and Europe are making the switch, according to Forrester Research. Also driving the growth are speech applications that help automate internal support services, the think firm says.
