ARLINGTON, Va. — The CDFI Coalition, the coalition of financial institutions that are stakeholders in the Treasury Department's Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, has named a new Executive Director.
The new Director is Fred Zeytoonjian, a community development expert.
The Coalition called Zeytoonjian an "ideal choice," praising his "wealth of public policy and community development experience."

Prior to joining the CDFI Coalition, Zeytoonjian coordinated the Katrina rebuilding effort for NeighborWorks America. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University, a Masters in Environmental Law, and a J.D. from Vermont Law School, the Coalition said.
The Coalition also welcomed Alejandra Lopez-Fernandini as Policy Associate. Lopez-Fernandini has extensive experience with domestic and international community development initiatives, and while in graduate school completed an empirical study of manufactured housing appreciation in North Carolina. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters in Public Policy from Duke University.
