The credit union has recently installed a solar poweredbillboard on Expo Boulevard in downtown Vancouver.

Solar powered by Carmanah Technologies the 160-watt signdisplays six solar modules, illuminating Vancity's logo.

Vancity tapped Vancouver-based Knight Signs to develop thecreative advertisement promoting the credit union's environmentalleadership.

The move is just one of several green initiatives Vancity hasmade this year, which include a bike sharing project and the launchof a Carbon Offset Program to invest in Canadian solutions toclimate change.
