DALLAS — One more credit union will be merged out of existence this weekend with the combination of Dallas credit unions City Credit Union and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Federal Credit Union.
According to the Dallas Business Journal, the two were to become one Sept. 1. City Credit Union was founded in 1942 to serve Dallas, Ellis and Cooke counties. It has 32,000 members and $179.4 million DART FCU was founded in 1939 with numerous select employee groups. The $3.7 million credit union will serve as the DART branch of City Credit Union, the report said.
