LANCASTER, S.C. — Founders Federal Credit Union is making sure the high school football season kicks off to a great start.

The credit union recently sponsored the 2007 Founders Kickoff Classic, a football jamboree featuring six local schools playing on the same site.

This year's event was held at Andrew Jackson High School in Lancaster County, South Carolina and included Lewisville Lions, Central Eagles, Indian Land Warriors, Lancaster Bruins, Andrew Jackson Volunteers and Buford Yellow Jackets.

The Founders Kickoff Classic has been a huge success in the past with good fan and community support–and this year's event was no exception.

Founders FCU staffers teamed up with local athletic directors for months to plan the annual event–from assisting with marketing and advertising the event to designing t-shirts and programs. Many even worked during the event to sell tickets and hand out programs.

Daniel the Spaniel–Founders Kids Club mascot–also made several appearances, playing games with children on the field during half-time breaks and presenting the Spirit Trophy to the Buford Yellow Jacket Cheerleaders at the end of the event.
