AMES, Iowa — Former Iowa Division of Credit Unions Superintendent Betty Minor passed away from lung cancer earlier this month; she was 76.

Minor, who retired from her regulator position, was also a former NASCUS chairman. Her obituary, appearing in the Des Moines Sunday Register, said she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and credit union colleagues.

Memorial services were held Aug. 25. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Des Moines or The Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
