VACAVILLE, Calif. — Travis Credit Union has joined forces with the community to help sponsor the Vacaville Annual Cultural Diversity Fair, which celebrated its 10th year at the Ulatis Community Center. This year's Fair them was "Many Voices, One Song".
"The Vacaville Cultural Diversity Fair is composed of youth and adults working to foster respect and appreciation for diversity in the community and to celebrate its multi-ethnic heritage," said Patsy Van Ouwerkerk president/CEO of Travis Credit Union. "We believe the strength of our community lies in our cultural diversity and that our history defines who we are and helps shape our future. At Travis Credit Union, we support programs that promote cultural and historical preservation."
Children's performances varied from The Chinese Lion Dancers, Bakuhatsu Taiko Drummers to the Grupo Taconaso. Many vendor booths displaying their wares showed the diverse resources as well as the food experience "from around the globe" found in the food court.
