SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Teachers Credit Union is looking to locals for its next television spot.

TCU has launched the TCU Take One Contest, which challenges area residents to create its next commercial targeting the 18-24 year old demographic by answering the question “Why do you TCU?”

Inspired by the Superbowl ads, the TCU team tapped its college interns for ideas on how to best reach the young adult market in a fun, unique way. From there the Take One Challenge was born.

“What better way to connect with this demographic than have them actually creating the spots,” said TCU Public Relations Program Creator Josephine Lentych. “We're a little nervous and excited to see what they come up with.”

Commercials will be judged based on originality and creativity; likelihood to motivate someone to use TCU; its call to action; and ability to differentiate TCU from other financial institutions.

The contest is slated to run through October 31 and the top five commercials will be aired on www.tcunet.com.

One lucky winner will be selected on December 31 and receive $5,000.
