ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Card Services for Credit Unions, the association of credit unions which use the Fidelity National Information Service card platform, has teamed up with Visa USA to ask credit unions to get more deeply involved in financial education.

The two organizations have developed and launched two Web sites, Practical Money Skills For Life and What's My Score to allow credit unions to help educate their members on financial matters from balancing a checkbook to comparing credit card offers and they asked CUs to co-brand the sites at no cost to offer them to their members.

"Credit and debit cards are an important tool for managing personal finances," CSCU wrote in a recent letter to its members announcing the website availability. "But the value that cards deliver is undermined if the leaders in the financial services industry do not make the sustained effort to help consumers use those cards responsibly."
