SALT LAKE CITY — Member Business Lending, LLC has partnered with two more credit unions bringing its total client roster to 23.
The latest are the $624 million Hollywood, Calif.-based First Entertainment Credit Union, which serves more nearly 53,000 members in the entertainment industry and the $194 million Utah First Federal Credit Union based in Salt Lake City, which serves more than 20,530 members along Utah's Wasatch Front.
Founded in 2004, MBL has become a formidable player in the small business lending arena. Over the past month, MBL-affiliated credit unions originated 56% of all credit union-based SBA 7(a) loans in the U.S., according to the CUSO. In addition, MBL ranks 20th in the nation among all lenders for number of SBA 7(a) loans processed. In June, the CUSO opened a regional office in Hawaii.
