WASHINGTON — The Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run title sponsor, Credit Union Miracle Day, Inc., elected its board of directors and officers at its recent annual meeting.
SECU of Maryland President/CEO Rod Staatz was welcomed on as the newest board member. “We are pleased to have someone with Rod's integrity and high caliber leadership talents added to our Board. He will bring more national attention to the good work we do in raising money for children's hospitals across the country,” CUMD Chairman Juri Valdov, president/CEO of Northwest FCU, said.
In addition to Staatz, Valdov; Theresa Mann, president/CEO of FDIC FCU; Jan Roche, president/CEO of State Department FCU; Robert Hess, president of Congressional FCU; Jim Blaine, president/CEO of State Employees' CU (NC); and Sarah Canepa Bang, president/CEO of Financial Service Centers Cooperative were elected. Valdov will remain chairman, Mann will serve as vice chair; Hess in the secretary spot and Roche will serve as treasurer.
Larry Buel, president/CEO of Constellation FCU, Bill Brooks of CU Prosper, and Mike Vadala, president/CEO of The Summit FCU were appointed ex-officio board members.
“We are thrilled to begin our seventh year of sponsoring the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run in support of Children's Miracle Network and it's 170 Children's Hospitals across the country,” Valdov stated.
