COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Security Service Federal Credit Union and The Home Front Cares have teamed up to treat a few deserving kids to the ballpark.

Children of deployed military troops spent the day interacting one-on-one with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox players and coaches at a youth baseball camp hosted by the credit union and The Home Front Cares, Inc.

The free event attracted more than 50 kids of all ages from Fort Carson, Schriever Air Force Base, the Air Force Academy and Peterson Air Force Base.

The fun-filled program, held at Security Service Field, was offered to show support and appreciation for military families whose loved ones are deployed overseas. Attendees were treated to dinner, a free t-shirt and a free ticket to the Sky Sox game following the camp. Players and coaches were on-hand throughout the camp to teach the kids hitting instructions and life skills.
