HARRISBURG, Pa. — eCU Technologies and a California credit union are beta testing a new version of the tech CUSO's electronic honor deposit solution.
UPost 3.0 allows members to make the deposit by phone as well as online, expands reporting functionality and allows credit unions to make their own changes in disclosures and other verbiage.
Southland Credit Union in Downey plans to test the new version in September, with rollout scheduled for November.

"While beta testing, we want to ensure that the GUI continues to be intuitive and easily navigated by our members–and with the proposed enhanced back-office features, we are confident we'd be able to expand the program and grow our Southland e-deposits user base," says Melinda Ma, director of e-commerce at $387 million Southland CU (www.southlandcu.org.)
Southland also was a beta tester of the original version more than four years ago. The honor deposit service allows members to record deposits electronically and mail in the check later, while gaining immediate access to the funds.
Thirty credit unions now use the UPost service from eCU Technologies (www.ecutechnologies.com), a CUSO of $2.4 billion Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union and provider of online banking and lending services, member history conversion, programming and consulting services to credit unions.
