Visitors click on a link athttp://www.continentalwings.com/ASP/home.asp, which goes to asection where they can either find out if they are eligible to joinor finish an uncompleted application. Soon after, Wings Financialupdated the site again to read "Continental Airlines EmployeesWelcome at Wings! Wings Financial launched the continentalwings.com Web site onMarch 9, the same day it sent a merger proposal to $182 millionContinental FCU, which subsequently turned down the proposal. Whatfollowed was a nearly month-long campaign wooing Continentalmembers with inducements such as $200 payments should a merger gothrough. NCUA's ruling that the payments were impermissible underthe Federal Credit Union Act put a stop to Wings Financial'scampaign.
