VACAVILLE, Calif. — With the growing need to maintain a financially literate future, Travis Credit Union recently announced the selection of Marlene Myers as financial education officer.
In this capacity, Myers will be responsible for establishing, developing and managing the credit union's financial education programs. Additionally, she will develop relationships with school, county, community and political representatives and organizations.
"Marlene's experience with credit unions and member education, coupled with her seasoned background in financial literacy and credit union advocacy, makes her a highly valuable new member of the Travis Credit Union Corporate Relations team," stated Patsy Van Ouwerkerk, Travis CU's president/CEO. "She offers strong financial management skills and will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of Travis Credit Union's financial education programs."

Meyers brings 31 years of credit union industry experience and an extensive background in credit union management and legislative advocacy.
A graduate of Western CUNA Management School, Meyers comes from Napa Valley Schools Federal Credit Union where she served as president/CEO. She is currently on the board of governors for the California Credit Union League; is a member of the Napa Chamber of Commerce's Diversity Development Committee; and the Napa Chamber Connection. She is also a former board member of the Napa Valley Unified Education Foundation.
