WASHINGTON, D.C. — Spam continues to grow in volume, but e-mail users seem to be less bothered by it, according to the latest survey results by the Pew Internet & American Life Project. The survey, conducted in February and March, indicates that e-mail users have become more sophisticated about dealing with spam through the use of filters and that the junk e-mail has not slowed down the use of e-mail. But some 55% of e-mail users say they have lost trust in email because of spam, the nonprofit, nonpartisan research group says.
