GREENSBORO, N.C. — In the fifth year of hosting its Annual Charity Golf Tournament, First Carolina Corporate Credit Union, with the support of its member credit unions, has surpassed the $106,000 mark in total funds raised to benefit Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman, North Carolina. This year's donation was $19,000.

Children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses can experience fun and memorable camping experiences at Victory Junction. The camp is solely supported by donations–no child or family ever pays to attend the program.

This year's donation will assist the camp, which hosts 125 campers each week during the summer and 32 families each weekend during the fall and winter and spring months.

Collectively, North and South Carolina credit unions continue to make a huge difference in the lives of these special children."

First Carolina Corporate's 2007 Charity Golf Classic, held at the Little River Golf Resort in Pinehurst, N.C., included 68 players representing 28 credit unions. Event sponsors included Palmetto Cooperative Services, Homeowners Mortgage Enterprises Inc., ISI, Charlie Mac, Heritage Trust FCU, Champion CU, Riegelwood FCU, Charlotte Fire Department CU and NC Community FCU.
