RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. -- From the out of the archives and into the blogosphere department: Chuck Bruen proudly reported in his blog (http://cbruen.com/blog/) recently that the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley got an auto loan from the former MGM Credit Union (now First Entertainment Credit Union).
According to Audrey (Maurer) Allen, who was CEO of the credit union at the time, Elvis always called her "Miss Audrey" when he visited the CU, noted Bruen, who is now the CEO at First Entertainment, located in Hollywood. In 1990, MGM CU merged into First Entertainment CU. Allen is one of the California Credit Union League Historical Preservation Committee's "Unsung Hero" Award recipients this year. Thank you very much.
