WEIRTON, W.Va. -- The members of Prime Financial Federal Credit Union in Wheeling have voted to merge with First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union.
The CUs anticipate the merger to be effective at the close of business on June 30.
Scott E. Winwood, president/CEO of First Choice America, said, "We look forward to welcoming Prime Financial's members and employees into our credit union family. There are synergies in this merger that will add value to the memberships of both companies."
First Choice America, with $260 million in assets, serves 41,000 members with offices in Weirton, Wheeling, Chester, Steubenville and Wintersville.
With the merger, the $4.5 million Prime Financial, based at Wheeling Hospital, will be able to offer its 2,000 members a more broad array of products and services, the CU said.
