ARLINGTON, Va. — To help build a national memorial to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. NAFCU is calling on the credit union movement to be a part of the effort.

The Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, http://www.mlkmemorial.org/, is spearheading an effort to raise $100 million to build a national monument and visitors’ center on the National Mall. The foundation has raised roughly $70 million towards with plans to have the memorial completed by fall 2008.
