PHOENIX — Desert Schools Federal Credit Union believes in helping kids. In just six weeks, the credit union's Spring Change Drive raised $52,000 for Phoenix Children's Hospital.

A total of 59 branch locations took part in the annual event where credit union members voluntarily contributed extra change from their paychecks to benefit the Children's Miracle Network and Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Last month, the credit union's annual golf tournament raised a record $175,000 in just one day for Phoenix Children's Hospital. The private event is held in conjunction with Desert Schools' business partners. Donations went directly to Phoenix Children's Hospital's "1 Darn Cool School" which gives kids new hope for the future.

Amstutz's goal is to raise $1 for every credit union member or over $335,000 each year. Other fundraising events include an employee BBQ and a Bowl-a-Thon.
