FORT WORTH, Texas — American Airlines Federal Credit Union said today that Angela K. Owens has been named the new president.
AA Credit Union's current President/CEO John Tippets, will retain the title of CEO, the CU said, adding upon Owens joining the credit union later this summer, "they will work closely together to ensure a smooth and successful transition of leadership upon Tippets' future retirement."
Owens returns to AA Credit Union from American Airlines, where she currently is the airline's general auditor. While at the $4.3 billion CU, Owens served as senior vice president–community relations and financial services. In this role, Owens led the credit union's Financial Services group, which employs licensed representatives to provide financial planning and advising services to members. She was also responsible for the credit union's business development, credit counseling, and member special assistance efforts.
