ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The NCUA Board issued a final rule at its recent board meeting making technical corrections to a number of its regulations.

According to agency staff, the changes were technical corrections, clarifications, and grammatical in nature. NCUA also removed outdated references to the Federal Credit Union Bylaws. "The amendments generally are improvements alerting users to other relevant provisions, responsibilities, or limitations," the Board Action Memorandum said.

The Administrative Procedures Act permits agencies to forego the notice and comment for changes that are strictly technical in nature, according to NCUA Staff Attorney Frank Kressman. These amendments were part of NCUA's regular review of one-third of its regulations every three years.
