WASHINGTON — Co-sponsors continue to pile on to the Credit Union Regulatory Improvements Act (H.R. 1537) as lobbyists say a hearing is expected.

Returning to co-sponsor CURIA this year are Al Wynn (D-Md.), Henry Brown (R-S.C.), Fred Upton (R-Mich.), Donald Payne (D-N.J.), Jesse Jackson (D-Ill.), and Steven Rothman (D-N.J.). New to the bill in the 110th Congress are Representatives Frank LoBiondo (R-N.J.), John Sarbanes (D-Md.), and Wally Herger (R-Calif.), CUNA Senior Vice President of Governmental Affairs John Magill’s old boss.
