HERSHEY, Pa. — During Pennsylvania Credit Union Association's 73rd annual meeting today, Sen. Robert Casey (D-Pa.) was presented with PCUA's prestigious Keystone Award.

Casey was instrumental, while serving as the treasurer of Pennsylvania, in helping make PCUA's Better Choice payday lending alternative program a reality. Better Choice was launched last October and currently is being offered by 53 Pennsylvania credit unions.

Casey thanked the PCUA and credit union leaders in attendance for their support, and joked "this goes to show two Scranton guys can get it right", referring to himself and PCUA President Jim McCormack.
