SAN FRANCISCO — The heavyweights in the anti-phishing world are inviting those responsible for the fight in their own organizations to a first-of-its-kind gathering later this month.
The first Counter eCrime Operations Summit will be held by the Anti-Phishing Working Group at the State Bar of California building in San Francisco on May 30-31.
Attendance is open to financial services organizations, Internet service providers, Internet security professionals, law enforcement and legal professionals.
Co-hosts along with the APWG are the Financial Services Technology Consortium and the American Bankers Association. Other partners include the Organization of American States' Inter-American Committee Against Terrorism (CICTE), the UK's Association for Payment Clearing Services (APACS), the FBI's Infragard group and the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (*FS/ISAC*).
Sessions will include the latest crimeware and malware mutations from the perspective of eBay's CISO and other industry and university researchers, and a first-hand account from two FBI special agents who took down a notorious phisher who now faces up to 101 years in prison.
