ARLINGTON, Va. — NASCUS announced today that Georgia Senior Deputy Commissioners for Banking and Finance George Reynolds will serve as its new chairman-elect as Ken Roberts, Ohio acting deputy superintendent of financial institutions, resigns due to changes at the agency.

"NASCUS is excited to welcome George as the association's new Chairman-elect. He will make a great chairman," NASCUS Chair Linda Jekel, director of credit unions for Washington state, said. "Though, we will miss Ken's involvement in NASCUS. He made tremendous contributions to our organization. His regulatory and examination expertise was a great resource for the NASCUS Board, and we thank Ken for his commitment to NASCUS and its mission."

Jekel also appointed existing NASCUS Board Member Beth Dooley, deputy commissioner of the California Department of Financial Institutions, to fill Roberts' term expiring August 2008.
