RIVERWOODS, Ill. — Discover Network, a division of Discover Financial Services, has rolled out a card and service offering intended to make the card brand more attractive to financial institution issuers, including credit unions.

Perks Everyday is a loyalty rewards program which has been available to cardholders from Discover for some, time but which Discover Network is making available to financial institution issuers–including credit unions–in a turnkey program which can be tailored to fit their needs, according to Beth Horowitz, vice president with the Network.

The Discover Premium card is meant to compete with Visa's Signature Card for higher end card holders and offers benefits such as concierge service and specialized rewards that would appeal to higher end cardholders, the card brand said.

Discover Network does not disclose how many financial issuers the brand has or how many of them are credit unions, but Horowitz said participation in the Network is open to all the credit members of the PULSE EFT Association, now a Discover subsidiary.
