BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Fiserv Inc. says its USERS and IntegraSys credit union core processing units have signed contracts with 15 Hawaii credit unions since December, bringing to 63 the number of CUs the company serves on the island chain.

All 15 are being served as online customers. Seven have signed to use IntegraSys Premier: First Insurance CU, Hawaii First FCU, Kahuku FCU, Kauai Teachers FCU, Lahaina FCU, West Maui Community FCU and Word of Life CU.

Eight have committed to the DataSafe platform from USERS: Aloha Airlines FCU, Hawaii National Guard FCU, Hawaiian Airlines FCU, HMSA Employees FCU, Kaujmakani FCU, Kekaha FCU, Koloa FCU and McBryde FCU.

USERS already had a strong Hawaiian presence, with a data center in Honolulu that exclusively serves credit unions there. The 63 credit unions now served by Fiserv in Hawaii total $4.5 billion in assets and have about 514,000 members.

"With many Hawaii credit unions needing to quickly replace a solution that will no longer be supported, Fiserv companies offered to the credit unions multiple core processing options and the ability to select the solution which best fit their needs," said Scott Butler, division president, Fiserv Depository Institution Core Processing Group.

The new signees currently are being served by Hawaii Impulse Systems, according to the NCUA Web site. EPL Inc., an Alabama-based core processor, also just announced it had signed a group of 11 Hawaii Impulse Systems customers.
