WASHINGTON — Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, a legal and governmental relations firm, announced today that former Ways & Means Committee Chairman Bill Thomas has joined its staff.
While chairman of the committee, Thomas initiated investigations into credit union service to those of modest means resulting in a Government Accountability Office study and NCUA's Member Service Assessment Pilot.
Thomas will serve as senior advisor to its Federal Government Relations Section. Thomas spent 24 years on the powerful Ways & Means Committee with his last six as chairman. He retired from Congress at the end of last year.
Alex M. Brill, a Thomas staffer, will also join the firm as an economic policy advisor.
