WASHINGTON — Brian Tate has left the Maryland & D.C. CreditUnion Association to join CUNA.

In his new position at CUNA as director of state advocacy, hewill manage relationships with state governmental associations likethe National Conference of State Legislatures. He will report toCUNA State Government Affairs Vice President Chris Johnson.

Tate previously served as government affairs manager forMDDCCUA, as well as on the legislative staffs of Congressman MaxSandlin (D-Texas) and Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.). He alsointerned in the Office of the First Lady under Hillary Clinton.
