WASHINGTON — In recognition of NAFCU's 40th Anniversary, Congressman Ed Royce (R-Calif.) had a statement read into the Congressional Record today.

"From 1967 until today, NAFCU has been a strong voice in Washington on behalf of credit unions," Royce stated. "The NAFCU members in my district tell me that this association does an excellent job providing them with representation, information, education and assistance to meet the challenges that cooperative financial institutions face in today's economic environment."

In a letter to Royce, NAFCU-member Southland Savings Federal Credit Union President/CEO David Kantar thanked Royce for his support of credit unions. "It has become crystal clear from your voting record in the House, along with your loyalty and trust shown in working with NAFCU, what a true friend to credit unions you've been and a person we can count on," he wrote.
