SALEM, Va. — The National Credit Union Foundation said today it has committed a donation of $10,000 to the Freedom First FCU/Virginia Tech Memorial Fund.

"Several victims of this tragedy were credit union members, as are many survivors," said NCUF Deputy Director Steve Bosack. "Words can't express the grief we feel for these students and their families, but we hope that donations from the credit union community will help them begin the healing process."

The $200 million Freedom First FCU has been serving the students, alumni, faculty, and staff of Virginia Tech since 1986 and remains the only full-service financial institution on campus, with two branch locations at the Squires Student Center.
