MADISON, Wis. — As an added layer to its asset management business, CUNA Mutual Group opened a new trading room here yesterday.
The 1,700-square-foot trading room is home to traders, analysts and portfolio managers who are now able to more effectively and efficiently share real-time information, CUNA Mutual said, adding the communication will allow for better collaboration among the equity, fixed income and derivative professionals.
The trading room, in which CUNA Mutual invested approximately $800,000, includes 14 full trading desks, four analyst tables, a stock ticker and two plasma monitors for real time investment information.
“This trading room, as well as the addition of high-performing professional staff, represents our continuing commitment to CUNA Mutual Asset Management and further development of the investment capability of CUNA Mutual Group and MEMBERS Capital Advisors,” said David Marks, CUNA Mutual Group executive vice president and chief investment officer.
