WASHINGTON — CUNA and NAFCU are continuing their joint advertising efforts under the America's Credit Unions banner, while CUNA beefs up its "Little Guy" ad portfolio.
The America's Credit Unions ad ran in Roll Call and The Hill on Tuesday and Wednesday of CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference, seeking congressional support for the Credit Union Regulatory Improvements Act.
The ad features testimonials like, "When I came out of college, I had a dream to start my own business…my credit union jumped right on board," a member of Campus Federal Credit Union said. It goes on to state, "Now it's time for Congress to help 89 million Americans keep getting the services they need."

CUNA was simultaneously running one of its feistier Little Guy ads in the same publications and another appeared in Congress Daily with a different ad each day. One running in Congress Daily said, "We treat people like they own the place. (Because they do.) Member owned. It's what makes credit unions work for working people." A cartoon of a banker leading the Little Guy off a cliff instead of to a credit union ran in Roll Call and The Hill. Each had the LookOutForTheLittleGuy.org tag line. –[email protected]
